At times the interviews conducted at our office are traumatic for the families. In an effort to diminish the impact on the families during this interview process we are seeking community partners to assist in re-designing our family areas. Hopefully, with the assistance of our community partners, we can create more tranquil areas to improve the experience for the families we serve.

Our centrally located CPIS Office is a hub for family members and the investigators to meet and plan the best course of action for each family's specific needs. Our goal is to create an ambiance at our office that will induce open communication between all parties. To accomplish this goal the atmosphere must feel like a safe haven for both the families and children we serve. This past year, the CPIS Section has been working on redecorating the interview areas to create this safe haven. With the assistance of the Oscar Thomas Foundation and other partnerships we will create this safe haven at the CPIS offices to better serve our most vulnerable population, Children.
